ANNA MINTON BA (Hons) Associate (Media and Urban Policy)
Anna Minton is a researcher, writer and journalist specialising in Urban Policy.
Her media experience, networks in the Urban Policy world, and extensive knowledge of housing, regeneration, planning and socio-economic policy have led her to be specialist advisor to a number of public and private sector clients.
A former staffer on The Financial Times she is a contributor to The Guardian and has won numerous national awards for her journalism. She has written a number of reports for think tanks and policy organisations, including CABE, The Joseph Rowntree Foundation, The Young Foundation, Demos, The Smith Institute, Shelter and the RICS and the German Federal Cultural Foundation. She is advisor to a number of public and private bodies, charitable foundations, private sector organisations and central and local governments, both in the UK and internationally.
Anna is a regular commentator on current affairs and urban policy, the media Most recent broadcasts include ‘The Politics Show’, Radio Four’s ‘Today’ and ‘Thinking Aloud’, BBC4’s ‘The New Middle Class’ and BBC Ten O Clock News.
She is the author of a number of award winning reports and she is currently writing a book about the privatisation of the city, shortly to be published by Penguin.
