TIM DWELLY Associate (Social Housing, regeneration, Live/work development)
Although an acknowledged expert in social housing, Tim is a development specialist in live/work projects. He has worked for many public sector clients on live/work projects, and is adviser to the Duchy of Cornwall on its live/work developments and the Places for People Group on affordable live/work strategy and development opportunities. He is leading the Live Work Network team currently advising local authorities on their local development framework generic development policies on live/work and home working.
Tim has produced live/work feasibility studies for a number of developer clients. Tim was founding director and chairman of Digital Peninsula Network, an EU funded network of over 200 creative/knowledge micro businesses.
Tim also advises a number of clients on economic development and regeneration including ODPM/ DCLG, DTI, Joseph Rowntree Foundation, Housing Corporation, Neighbourhood Renewal Unit, Social Exclusion Unit, Peabody Trust, Places for People Housing Group, the Tomorrow Project and the Work Foundation.
He has written many reports for the Joseph Rowntree Foundation – including the UK’s submission to the United Nations Habitat 2 conference on sustainable development.
He is a former editor of Shelter’s ROOF magazine and is highly experienced in promoting through conferences, media and web.
